Richard Ashcroft Announces Special Release for New Album

Richard Ashcroft, front man of The Verve, is planning the release of his first solo album in four years. The album, which will be titled United Nations of Sound, will be released through Razor & Tie Records on March 22nd. In celebration of the album’s release Ashcroft plans to take the stage at the Bowery Ballroom in New York on the 23rd and the Villa Victoria Center for the Arts in Boston on the 24th.

Ashcroft will perform a single entitled “Are You Ready?” on national television for all his fans to see. He will be performing said single on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and will be accompanied by house band The Roots.

Further information is surfacing which claims that Ashcroft will have 2 tracks in the up coming Matt Damon flick, The Adjustment Bureau. One song will come as the end credits are rolling, and another unconfirmed song could make its way into the background of actual dramatic action within the movie.

The confirmed show dates celebrating the album’s debut are as follows

3/23 – New York, NY – Bowery Ballroom

3/24 – Boston, Mass. – Villa Victoria Center for the Arts
