Unfounded concerns from American record labels over Spotify’s U.S. debut have finally been squelched. According to Mashable, the European Music-streaming service will partner with Sony Entertainment. Reports of the pending deal allude to possible services comparable to those already existing in Europe. The U.S. version of Spotify will allow users to stream several hours of music for free with premium options for ad-free and mobile services at a minimal fee. Stay tuned for further confirmation of this deal that is sure to threaten to put Pandora back in its box.
