Notorious B.I.G.’s Investigation Reopened

New information has breathed fresh life into the long-abandoned investigation into The Notorious B.I.G’s death, thirteen years later. The rapper was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles on March 9, 1997.

CNN reported that the Los Angeles Police Department, L.A. County District Attorney’s Office, and the FBI have all become active in the investigation. The facts of a lone gunman in a Chevy Impala opening fire alongside B.I.G’s Suburban on the night of March 9, 1997 remain.

Though no suspect has been identified, the main theory maintains that a retaliation hit was ordered by rapper Suge Night and Death Row Records over the death of Tupac Shakur six months prior to B.I.G’s death.
