Brent Knopf Leaves Menomena

Brent Knopf of Menomena has left the band to work on his side project, Ramona Falls, according to their website.

He wrote:

“After 10 years of fruitful collaboration, Brent Knopf has decided to part ways with Menomena to focus on Ramona Falls and other creative pursuits,” the band announced. “We want to thank Brent for his vast contributions over the years and wish him nothing but happiness in all of his future endeavors. All three of us look forward to seeing you soon!”

Paul Acott will replace Knopf for the remainder of their tour dates, including a stint at Coachella and a full North American tour throughout March 2011.

Michelle Rick: I like Pop Rocks, and believe your life is incomplete if you've never seen Forrest Gump. I recently saw the Counting Crows live, for free, and it was not good. I was supposed to interview David Hasselhoff once but he never showed. And I love the band that was once Oasis.
