No New Fantomas, Tomahawk or Lovage Albums in 2011

The rumor mill went wild today with word circling around the internet that Mike Patton had all but completed new albums from his side projects Fantomas, Tomahawk and possibly even his Dan “The Automator” collaboration Lovage. Even though Faith No More’s “Second Coming” tour is complete, not true says Greg Werckman, Patton’s manager and co-owner of Ipecac Recordings. Reached for comment he said simply:

A lot of misinformation out there. No new Fantômas, Lovage or Tomahawk anytime soon. Can’t see any of that happening before 2012.

For those keeping score, Fantomas hasn’t released an album since 2005’s Suspended Animation, while Tomahawk hasn’t put forth new music since their 2007 album Anonymous. Lovage, on the other hand has been almost completely silent since a brief tour concluded for their 2001 album Music to Make Love to Your Old Lady By. Hopefully Patton’s prolific work schedule will render some results soon, but for now mega fans will have to revel in the memories of Faith No More’s now completed Second Coming reunion tour.
