Swedish lords of death metal Amon Amarth revealed the title for their upcoming Spring 2011 release on Metal Blade Records earlier this week. More info after the jump.
Entitled Surtur Rising, the album will mark the bands eighth studio release since their start in 1988.
Their most current release, Twilight of the Thunder God, came out in 2008 and was hailed by seminal genre website Metal Sucks as “[a] bottomless gauntlet of riffs that the band endlessly takes gargantuan swigs from, sounding both lush and emotive as well as skull crushingly heavy.”
