Psychedelic folk-rock trio Akron/Family recently announced their plans to release a new album in early 2011.
The album, entitled S/T II: The Cosmic Birth and Journey of Shinju TNT, will hit US shelves February 8. According to AltSounds, the group recorded the album in an abandoned train station in Detriot, MI and wrote it while staying at a cabin on the side Mount Meakan, an active volcano in Japan’s Akan National Park.
