As we reported last week, the Foo Fighters are deep into the making of a new record, but have two tour dates scheduled for summer 2011 at Milton Keynes in Britain. Well, if you didn’t get tickets, you’re out of luck – the Foos sold out both shows within several hours of them going on sale last Friday.
The band sold 130,000 tickets for the early July 2011 shows that will also feature Biffy Clyro, Death Cab for Cutie, Tame Impala, Jimmy Eat World and Hot Rats. None other than Bob Mould will serve as special guest DJ for both shows.
The show will be the band’s first UK shows since their 2008 two-night stand at Wembley Stadium.
