Wednesday brought the monumental combination of legendary house giants Daft Punk and award-winning alternative rock outfit Phoenix at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. The groups joined one another on stage for a short encore that included a mashup of Phoenix’s “1901” and Daft Punk’s “Around the World” and “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger.”
Wavves opened the show to decidedly lackluster response and left before Daft Punk’s appearance because of their scheduled performance at the Purevolume House.
