Hellsongs Releases Bright, Shiny Folk-Pop Covers of Classic Heavy Metal

Swedish trio Hellsongs has released an odd little album entitled Minor Misdemeanors, odd in that their style does not necessarily match their content (at least not on paper).  Featuring 10 covers of classic heavy metal songs by everyone from Iron Maiden to W.A.S.P. to Slayer to Judas Priest in bright and joyful folk-pop style, the album hit stores September 14th.  In addition to the album, they’ve released a video of their Iron Maiden cover, “Heaven Can Wait” from the 1986 album Somewhere in Time.
