Billie Joe Armstrong to Star in American Idiot Musical

Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong will lead the American Idiot Broadway musical beginning Tues., Sept 28 and ending Sun., Oct. 3.

Armstrong will fill in the role of St. Jimmy normally played by Tony Vincent. The role marks Armstrong’s first (and most likely sole) Broadway performance.

Following his Broadway dates, Armstrong will travel to Caracas, Venezuela, where Green Day kicks off their South American tour Oct. 8.
