The pride of Philadelphia Man Man provided the most cophesive set of the day thus far. Bombastically rocking an eclectic mix of horns, keyboards and percussion, the five-piece were rambunctious and fun, without a trace of pretense. Opting for an occasional subdued moment of vocal harmony, the majority of the set was the Frank Zappa-esque funked out doo wop that could bring almost anyone to shuffle their feet. Most impressive is thje band’s use of silence and alternating vocalists, giving the set a unique sense of pacing and style unlike any other band present.
