The Los Angeles stop of We Are Scientists’ tour found itself in one of Southern California’s iconic clubs, The Troubadour. This was a great matchup for the band who have such a huge following. There was standing room only for this sold-out show and the energy was at it’s peak when the band came on stage at 10pm that Friday night.
The band is New York based but L.A. born, consisting of Keith Murray on guitar and lead vocals, Chris Cain on bass guitar and backing vocals and rounded by guest drummer and back-up vocals Andy Burrows who is originally from England. These guys already put on a great performance as their energy mixed with the crowd, with their witty banter and non-stop joking. But then there was the great music.
They played hits after like “This Scene is Dead,” which roused the crowed, and other great ones like “After Hours” and “Nice Guys.” The music didn’t stop and neither did the joking, like Cain telling the audience to be careful that night because their music causes pregnancies to happen and to make sure they use condoms.
All in all, this leg of the tour was an all night sensation and everyone got there money’s worth. If you get a chance, see them live. For more information on their latest tour, check out their web-site and see if they are in a town near you. www.wearescientists.com
