Primus is about to wrap up its first headlining tour in four years, but they’re not done giving yet: The band has released recordings of its tour rehearsals from earlier in the summer.
The band was so impressed with the recordings of rehearsals that it felt obligated to release them. As Les Claypool said in a press release: “I haven’t rehearsed a band this hard since Frog Brigade decided to perform Pink Floyd’s epic Animals album. Having Jay back in the band has rejuvenated our excitement for Primus and being that he is one of my favorite drummers in the world, the music that is coming out of us is beyond anything we’ve ever done before. It’s like ‘sultry-acid-space-rock’.”

Even better news for fans: The band plans to head into the studio to record its first studio album since 1999.
