We Were So Turned On, an album featuring a bunch of cool artists, will be released in September – all proceeds benefiting War Child. War Child is an organization that simply helps children affected by war across the world no matter where they live, which Bowie has been a huge supporter of. Devandra Banhart, Carla Bruni, Vivian Girls, Duran Duran, Viv Albertine, Mick Karn, Warpaint, Chairlift, and Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros have all made contributions to the album.
