The new Jane’s Addiction album, tentatively due out in the winter of 2011 on Capitol Records, will feature producer Rich Costey at the studio helm.
Costey, who produced guitarist Dave Navarro’s 2001 solo debut Trust No One, has produced albums for bands like Muse and Franz Ferdinand, and has received studio credits for work with Weezer, Rage Against the Machine, My Chemical Romance, Doves and Jurassic 5, among others.
Work on the new album is underway in Los Angeles, the band having recently returned to the U.S. after concerts overseas in the Netherlands and Spain alongside Rage Against the Machine, Gogol Bordello and Cypress Hill.
