Following the success of their Rube Goldberg-influence video for “This Too Shall Pass,” the guys in OK Go plan to debut their newest video this weekend at Bonnaroo – becoming the first band ever to debut a music video at the festivalThe Chicago-based band will debut their video for “End Love” this Saturday, June 12th, at the Lunar Stage at approximately 1:20 p.m. EST – just before the USA/England World Cup game. The band plays Bonnaroo this Friday and will perform “End Love” on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” tonight.
A press release describes the making-of process for “End Love: “Like OK Go’s previous clips, “End Love” was shot in one take – but in this instance, the take was 21 hours long. Using time-lapse photography, it follows the band from one day to the next, as they unfurl their sleeping bags at a park near their hometown of Silverlake, CA and kick up their heels the next morning with a group of volunteer dancers.
The band is also touring Europe this summer, along with select dates in North America.
