Metal giants Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax will be streaming a video of their performances at this year’s Sonisphere Festival in a one-night-only global cinematic event on June 22. More info after the jump.
The “Big Four,” as a recent press release called them, will stream their landmark concert to theaters all over the world, including 450 throughout the US, via an HD satellite feed. Tickets for the event went on sale Friday in the US and can be purchased here.
International tickets will go on sale May 28.
“Who would have thought that more than 25 years after its inception, thrash metal’s Big Four would not only still be around, be more popular than ever, playing shows together at stadiums all over Europe, and on top of that, coming to a movie theater near you in High Definition (for better or worse??!!). Bring it on!” said Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich in a press release regarding the event.
