After 13 years, metal band Isis (Ipecac) has announced that, following its upcoming tour, it will break up.
The band announced their intention to split in a blog post yesterday. Their tour will go on this May and June, and the band will play its final show in Montreal, in the same venue as their first show ever. Formed in 1997, the band put out five LP’s and influenced numerous current bands.
Following the tour, the group will work on putting together a final EP and compiling live audio and visual material for future release.
