Deadmau5 – Sahara Tent

The mysterious Deadmau5 capped off the first night at the Sahara Tent, playing a set that can best be described as slightly progressive trance. Appearing out of costume for most of the set, Deadmau5 appeared atop a v-shaped geometric object. The object was a full video array, allowing for full-motion video to be displayed on any side of it. Then, Deadmau5 produced a helmet shaped like his trademark mouse-head logo. While slowing down and speeding up the tempo, the large helmet impressively displayed its own animated imagery on the head and over-sized ears. It was enough to get the crowd to boogie, but unfortunately the look of Deadmau5’s set was more impressive than the songs.
