Mariachi el Bronx (alter egos of thrash punkers The Bronx) showed the softer side of what they’re capable of at their showcase performance. For those of you out there used to full-throttle assault of The Bronx’s “False Alarm,” Mariachi el Bronx could not possibly be more different. The band is strictly a Mexican-style balladier approach to music. The band peppers it’s sound with strummed vintage classical/Latin guitars and romantic vocals. The words float breezily over the deftly plucked chords providing for a soothing atmosphere. The band hinted at their upcoming tour where both The Bronx and Mariachi el Bronx will perform together. Someone go the extra mile and book them with Hank Williams III and Assjack!
