Preservation Hall Jazz Band Joins My Morning Jacket On Tour

With nine dates scheduled across the Southeastern United States in April, My Morning Jacket is hitting the road with Preservation Hall Jazz Band opening.  Including a performance at this year’s Jazzfest in New Orleans, MMJ are excited to both try something new with their choice for an opening act, but bring the spirit of New Orleans along with them.

The connection with the PHJB began in the Spring of 2009 and MMJ’s Jim James recorded “St. James Infirmary” and “Louisiana Fairytale”  with the tracks appearing on PRESERVATION: An Album To Benefit Preservation Hall & The Preservation Hall Music Outreach Program out February 16th.
