Between Thom Yorke’s rants about the lack of results at the Copenhagen’s Climate Summit, guitarist Ed O’Brien announced on Radiohead.com that the band would be returning to the studio in January 2010 to continue work on its next album. Although Thom played a number of solo dates last October (with Red Hot Chili Pepper’s bassist Flea and drummer Joey Waronker), the the band began working on their latest over the summer.
According to O’Brien, “the vibe in the camp is fantastic at present. I am so genuinely excited about what we’re doing, but for obvious reasons I can’t divulge anything more.” He goes on to explain that “we are most definitely a different band, which should therefore mean that the music is different too and that is the aim of the game….keep it moving.”
