As special bonus track, the USC Trojan Marching Band (TMB) has released a rehearsal recording of “15 Step” at Sony Studios’ Stage 25 two days before their acclaimed collaboration on the 2009 Grammy Awards. Their actual performance of “15 Step” with the TMB stole the show at the Grammys and still receives YouTube hits today.
Additional bonus tracks include the band’s recording of “Hit That” with The Offspring (in its first U.S. debut), in addition to the band’s full cadence.
Trojan Legacy: 40 Years of Dr. Arthur C. Bartner and The Spirit of Troy, the double-disc album by the TMB includes “Then” and “Now” discs- “Then” encompassing the band director’s 40 year tenure at USC; “Now” covers the band’s newest hits. Disc 2 includes covers of The Offspring (3 tracks), System of a Down (2 tracks), Breaking Benjamin (2 trakcs), Black Eyed Peas, Robert Randolph & the Family Band, and Wolfmother, in addition to their rendition of Avenged Sevenfold’s “Almost Easy,” which was a YouTube hit.
