Grammy Nominations Announced

The 2010 Grammy nominations, which will be televised live on Jan. 31 on CBS, have been announced and women are leading the pack this year. Beyonce, Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga, who are all nominated for Record of the Year, lead the nominees with 10, 8 and 5 nominations respectively. The rest of the category comprises of musical groups The Black Eyed Peas and Kings of Leon.

In Hip-Hop, Rapper Jay-Z leads in Rap and Male Categories with five nominations including Best Rap Solo and Best Rap Song.

Country Music star Keith Urban, with four nominations, is second behind Taylor Swift in the number of nods led by a Country Music artist.

Music legends are also given their due this year, with Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson being nominated for Best Americana Album and Johnny Cash for Best Long Form Music Video.

Rockers Kings of Leon are up for five nominations including Album of the Year and Song of the Year.
