Metric’s IMVU Online store launches today. Fans can go to IMVU to buy Metric music that they can play in their own virtual rooms, as well as 3D Metric virtual merch for their avatars. There are links to buy their album entitled “Fantasies,” which was originally self-released album which brought critical acclaim. IMVU is also giving away a free download of Metric’s single, “Help I’m Alive,” which to all IMVU members. On October 25, 2009, IMVU will host a virtual Meet and Greet, in a customized animated environment. IMVU members will have a chance to chat with band members via their avatars and ask them questions. October 27, 2009, a brand-new Metric acoustic EP entitled, “Plug In Plug Out” will be available on Amazon.com for one month leading into a wider distribution. There’s a preview of the acoustic EP at I Love Metric. In support of “Fantasies,” Metric will tour this fall.
