August will see dance legends Underworld attack the world on three fronts. First, the band’s full back catalog will be made available for the first time via iTunes. Secondly, the band will release its own iPhone iDrum application, developed in collaboration with iZotope. Thirdly, band will also be going on a short US Tour this August including (technology permitting) the world’s first free, live audio-visual broadcast to the iPhone on August 7.
The application will feature tracks from all of Underworld’s albums including “Born Slippy,” “Two Months Off” and “Cowgirl.” The application will give users the ability to remix, re-sequence and re-construct 12 Underworld songs including a piece the band created specifically for the app. In conjuction with the free application, Underworld are also giving away a free download of “Born Slippy” performed at Brixton Academy here.
