Vibe Magazine, one of America’s leading music magazines, is closing down. According to Media Decoder, Chief of Vibe Media Group, Steve Aaron, wrote a memo to staff blaming suffering advertising sales for the magazine’s inability to stay afloat. The magazine was originally started by musician Quincy Jones in 1993, then called Time Warner Vibe. Later it sold to the Wicks Group in 2006. Circulation reached 818,000 during the second half of 2008.http://www.dailyfinance.com/2009/06/30/vibe-magazine-shutting-down/ http://mediadecoder.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/06/30/vibe-magazine-to-close-down-immediately/
