Black Meteoric Star, an acid house project for DFA records created by Gavin Russom, will be presented at the MoMA on May 23rd, 2009. PopRally will combine Black Meteoric Star with a Brazilian visual artist for a joint audio visual performance. Tickets are on sale now and expected to sell out quickly. Black Meteoric Star is anticipated to release three singles this summer compiled for a self-titled album due out June 9th. The music will have a narrative stream about a night of clubbing and into the next day.
