Slayer & Megadeth Join Forces for Canadian Carnage Tour June

Slayer and Megadeth, two of the thrasher/metal giants who are known to have defined the genre, are set to co-headline four shows on the west coast of Canada this June. It’s being dubbed the Canadian Carnage tour. The two bands will perform together for the first time in more than 15 years. Supporting the bands  will be Machine Head with their renowned stage show, and the talents of the Suicide Silence recently awarded “Best New Talent” at the inaugural Revolver Golden Gods Awards. Tickets go on sale through Ticketmaster outlets and online, May 2, 2009. 

Megadeth will likely spotlight some new material from their upcoming studio album due out in September via Roadrunner, while Slayer highlights their recent release of Psychopathy Red sold exclusively through participating independent records stores, and you can find these dealers at RecordStoreDay.com.
