Lollapalooza 2009 event organizers announce line-up for the three-day music festival to be held August 7-9th at Chicago’s Grant Park. Headlining are Depeche Mode, Tool, the Killers, Jane’s Addiction, Beastie Boys, and King’s of Leon. Lou Reed, Ben Harper and Relentless7, Theivery Corporation, Snoop Dogg, Rise Against, TV on the Radio, the Decemberists, Animal Collective, Fleet Foxes, Silversun Pickups, and Santigold are among the many performing. The full line up is available at www.lollapalooza.com. Regular three-day passes are $205, but there are still a few available for $195, plus a variety of V.I.P options.
Last year, Lollapalooza sold out and this year ticket sales are looking promising declares Billboard Magazine. “At Lollapalooza, we’re selling more tickets than ever,” Lollapalooza’s founder Perry Farrell told Reuters. “People need an even bigger excuse to escape more than ever and there is no better escape than going to a festival and just tripping and taking in music.”
