Blender Magazine will Cease Publication with April’s Issue

Music and entertainment magazine Blender, will cease publication with its April issue. Blender has been publishing since 2001 featuring music reviews and articles on artist such as Janet Jackson and Radiohead. Blender’s ad pages fell 31 percent in 2008, to 522 pages, according to the Publishers Information Bureau.

Blender is one of several magazines to close the year due to a decline in magazine advertising. “We went as far as we could in a difficult environment”, said Alpha Media spokeswoman Nora Hayes. About 30 people will leave the company as a result to the magazine closing, Hayes added. Blender magazine will continue to publish on its website, blender.com.
