Grammy-nominated, singer/songwriter M.I.A. will make a return to the California desert next month at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival. M.I.A. replaces Amy Winehouse, who was forced to cancel her appearance earlier this month due to an assault charge in the U.K., according to billboard.com.
This year will mark the singer’s third Coachella appearance. M.I.A.’s two previous appearances featured electrifying sets and drew huge crowds. M.I.A. has been added to Saturday’s line-up featuring artist such as Paul McCartney, The Killers, The Cure, and Morrissey. The annual festival is set for April 17, 18 and 19 at the Empire Polo Field in Indio, CA.
