Reprise records will release the Grammy-Award winning rock band, Green Day’s entire catalog in 12-Inch Vinyl. The first two releases will be 39/Smooth and Kerplunk on March 24, while their third LP, the breakthrough smash Dookie will be available April 18. The remaining albums will be released chronologically throughout 2009.
Details about each release are as follows: Insomniac, will be available on 140-gram vinyl beginning May 12th. Nimrod, will be available on two 140-gram vinyl discs with a gatefold sleeve, beginning June 16th. Warning, will be available on 140-gram vinyl beginning July 14th. International Superhits!, will be available on 140-gram vinyl beginning August 11th. Shenanigans, a compilation of B-sides, rarities, and covers will be available on 140-gram vinyl beginning September 15th. American Idiot, will be available on two 180-gram, audiophile-grade vinyl beginning October 13th. Bullet in a Bible, a live CD/DVD will be available on 140-gram vinyl beginning November 10th.
Reprise will also release a boxed set of Green Day singles culled from the band’s entire career, including those from their alter egos Foxboro Hot Tubs and The Network, as well as B-sides, international tracks, and live tracks, on July 21st. Green Day are currently putting finishing touches on their highly anticipated, Butch Vig-produced eighth studio album, 21st Century Breakdown, which will be released by Reprise Records in May 2009.
