Morrissey embarks on his first tour since 2007. Morrissey performed an electrifying set at the Durham’s Performing Arts Center Wednesday night. Raleigh News and Observer recently stated, “He came across not unlike romantic poet Lord Byron as a rock star.” The set list includes hit songs such as “Billy Bud” “Irish Blood” and “This Charming Man”, as well as highlights from his new album “Years of Refusal” (Attack/Lost Highway). Morrissey’s bands consists of longtime Moz guitarist and Musical Director Boz Boorer along with guitarist Jesse Tobias, drummer Matt Walker, bassist Solomon Walker, and keyboardist Kristopher Pooley.
Morrissey’s “Tour of Refusal” is in support of his new album “Years of Refusal” which debuted at #11 on the Billboard Top 200 in the US and #3 in the UK. The majority of the dates sold out in record time including his multiple night’s in New York City. Morrissey will also make a return appearance at Coachella on April 17.
