Live Nation and Ticketmaster are in negotiations to merge companies but fans are still upset with Live Nation for not being well equipped enough to handle an overflow of potential buyers. Last week, Phish tickets went on sale but the demand was so high that the server crashed and left most fans ticket-less. There is an overwhelming demand for Phish tickets because they haven’t played a show together since August of 2004. CEO of Live Nation said “When you have 10 million requests from your ticketing system and only 20,000 seats, there’s going to be a line.” Phish is doing a three day concert tour in Hampton, Virginia at the Hampton Coliseum March 6-8 and are doing some shows this summer. They will also be headlining at Bonnaroo in Manchester, TN on June 11-14.
