Thom Yorke and friends have snagged the legendary man machines Kraftwerk as an opening act for a tour of Latin America from March to April. Unfortunately, the krautrockers are down to only one remaining original member, Ralf Hutter. Florian Schneider, who was replaced onstage for the 2008 world tour by Stefan Pfaffe has now left the band for good.
Even with the lineup in a state of transition, Kraftwerk will follow its supporting tour for Radiohead with a show in Wolfsburg, Germany in April.
Here’s Kraftwerk’s itinerary:
3/15-16 – Mexico City – Foro Sol
3/20 – Rio de Janeiro – Praca da Apoteose
3/22 – Sao Paulo, Brazil – Chacara Do Jockey
3/24 – Buenos Aires, Argentina – Club Ciduad
3/26-27 – Santiago, Chile – San Carlos De Apoquindo
4/25-26 – Wolfsburg, Germany – Altes Heizkraftwerk (Kraftwerk Only)http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/news/radiohead-snags-kraftwerk-for-spring-shows-1003926634.story
