Viva Coldplay! Band Announces Tour Dates

Coldplay announced U.S. and Canada dates today for their Viva La Vida Tour. The tour will begin on June 29th, 2008, at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, PA, and ticket pre-sale information is available on Coldplay’s website, www.coldplay.com. Fans can win tickets to two shows prior to 6/29, one at the Brixton Academy in London (6/16) and the other at Madison Square Garden in New York City (6/23), starting today by visiting the band’s website. All tickets will be given away for both shows and one winner for the NYC show will win both flight and hotel accommodations from wherever they live.

Colplay’s latest album, Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends, is now available for pre-order from iTunes. Pre-ordering the album entitles the purchaser to two (free) additional bonus tracks, the acoustic versions of “Lost” and “Lovers in Japan,” and immediate download of the album’s title track “Viva La Vida.”

For any NME Magazine subscribers, the latest issue includes a free 7-inch vinyl with the single “Violet Hill” and the b-side “A Spell A Rebel Yell.” This is the only planned physical release of the single. A 30-second clip of the b-side is available at www.nme.com and a copy of the magazine may be ordered as well.
