In an effort to challenge concert juggernaut Live Nation Inc., Ticketmaster and Cablevision Systems Corp. are negotiating to acquire number concert promoter AEG Live. The move is an apparent retaliation against Live Nation’s recent split from Ticketmaster to form its own ticket outlet. Though no deals are concrete yet, the talk value AEG at close to 400 million dollars.
