Pearl Jam, having completed their contract with Epic Records, will release their self-titled eighth album via J Records on May 2. The first single off the album will be “World Wide Suicide,” hitting radio next Wednesday, and will be available for free download at the band’s Web site for two days before going to retailers.
The band’s last album, Riot Act, was released in 2002. Pearl Jam then launched three tours, including a trek through Canada and South America and participation on the Vote for Change tour in 2004.
