The first batch of bands to play the 2006 South By Southwest festival in Austin, Texas, have been announced. An list includes Belle and Sebastian, The Boy Least Likely To, Cat Power, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Jamie Cullum, Dashboard Confessional, Destroyer, Echo & The Bunnymen, The Go! Team, The Magic Numbers, Nickel Creek, Beth Orton, Peaches, Saves the Day, The Secret Machines, Susan Tedeschi, The Whigs, and more.
