MS MR is an indie pop/alternative rock duo based in New York. Vocalist Lizzy Plapinger began her career in music starting from her college dorm where she helped run Neon Gold Records. In the beginning, they only released singles. However, they continued on to signing a distribution deal with Columbia Records. Now, Plapinger takes the stage with producer Max Hershenow in their shows.

The duo released their first album, Secondhand Rapture, in 2013. It climbed to reaching the top 200 in charts across the globe. Their next highly anticipated album, How Does It Feel, is set to release July 17th. This record is said to be more upbeat. “We wanted to create music where we could dance around and become ourselves in a way we’d become accustomed to onstage,” says Plapinger on their new music.

MS MR has played events such as Bonnaroo and Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Their sound is often compared to Lana Del Rey, Adele, and Florence and the Machine. Their sinful melodic music continues to expand their audience, while their artistry grows in the process as well.
