The Decemberists have released a new video for the hit song “Make You Better” featuring Nick Offerman. This video parody takes place in 1977 on the set of the German show The Old Blue Rock Palace Show.
The Decemberists joke that this uncovered documentation provides evidence of the group’s early development and can be used as legendary influence in rock history. In addition to the video, which was found on The Old Blue Rock Palace Show’s website, there were leaked outtakes of an interview with the show’s host and lead singer Colin Meloy.
In addition to the leaks of these videos, The Decembereists will be appearing on Conan December 3 to promote their single “Make You Better”. In a press release the song is described as, “making a quick ascent up the Triple-A radio charts cracking the Top 10 in just three weeks”.
The song “Make You Better” will be released on The Decemberists upcoming album, What A Terrible World, What A Beautiful World. The album is set for release on January 20 via Capitol Records. Additionally, The Decemberists announced both winter and spring tour dates. The spring portion of their tour will start mid February.
