Neutral Milk Hotel, recently reunited at this year’s Coachella Festival, has announced a headlining show at the Hollywood Bowl on September 18.
The indie rock band formed in 1989 and released their debut full-length album, On Avery Island, in 1996. Their most critically-acclaimed and best-known album, In The Aeroplane Over the Sea, was released in 1998, a year before they disbanded. In 2013, Neutral Milk Hotel did a reunion tour and now it seems they are almost back in full force. In addition to their recent appearance at Coachella, the group also performed at the Empire Polo Club on April 13 and April 20.
The band will also be playing at the Pitchfork Music Festival and the music festival celebrating Merge Records’ 25th anniversary, both in July. Tickets for the September show at the Hollywood Bowl go on sale Sunday, May 4, at 10 a.m. The cost will range from $20.50 to $58.00 per ticket, plus service fees.
