For the first time since the 2008 Grammy Awards, Daft Punk will be performing for a television audience, and it seems only right it will be for the Grammy ceremonies once again. Particularly since they’re up for 4 of those stoic gramophones, themselves.
The last time Daft Punk performed the Grammys, it was alongside Kanye West for his song “Stronger.” For the 2014 Awards, Grammy Producer Ken Erlich tells Rolling Stone the robotic duo will deliver “a collaborative and celebratory stage performance that honors their multi-nominated music.”
Multi-nominated they are; for their 2013 release Random Access Memories, Daft Punk is up for Record of the Year, Album of the Year and Best Dance/Electronica Album, not to mention Best Pop Duo/Group performance for their single “Get Lucky.” The band is yet to play a show in support of this monster of an album, so those tuning in to the Grammys on January 26th will likely see an explosive performance.
Until then, we’ve thankfully got the epicness of Daft Punk’s latest videos, “Instant Crush” and “Lose Yourself To Dance” to revel in.
