Former Thrice vocalist and guitarist Dustin Kensrue will be dropping a new solo album this fall.
According to The 1st Five, “The Water & The Blood” is set to be released on October 1 via Mars Hill Music, which is “made up of a variety of musicians and worship leaders who serve throughout the 14 Mars Hill churches.”
Kensrue has been known for his interest in religion and often includes religious messages in his music. This is true of his music with Thrice and his solo projects, including his former alias, Ursus Veritas.
One look at the track listing for “The Water & The Blood” makes it clear that religious themes are present in this album as well. None of this means that casual or non-religious listeners should refrain from checking out Kensrue’s unique musical style.
