Indie rock band Paramore is set to perform at The Chicago Theatre on Wednesday, Nov. 9. The performance is part of a tour rumored to celebrate their new upcoming album, the details of which are still under wraps.
Paramore’s most recent album dropped in 2017. After Laughter was the band’s fifth studio album and the focus of their most recent tour ending in 2018. Though band members have been occupied with solo projects since then, a Rolling Stone interview in January revealed that new music is coming soon. Seeing as their upcoming fall tour launches in early October, fans are hoping for a new album this month.
Paramore is well-acquainted with critical acclaim and popularity. Their singles have regularly snagged chart-topping spots around the globe. Pop-punk anthem “Ain’t It Fun,” one of the band’s most popular releases, received a Grammy Award for Best Rock Song in 2014. In total, Paramore has been nominated five times.
The band debuted their first studio album in 2005. All We Know Is Falling took influence from the five-month absence of bassist Jeremy Davis. He officially left in 2015, five years after brothers Josh and Zac Farro departed, leaving lead vocalist Hayley Williams as the only remaining original member. Returning in 2017, drummer Zac Farro joined Williams and guitarist Taylor York, a member since 2007. The trio make up Paramore’s current members.
