MacKenzie Scott, who goes by the stage name Torres, produces intensively lyrical, confessional, and ferocious music in the indie-folk style. Scott’s music feels inspired by the nature of dramatic musical theatre, with waves of passion and pauses that linger and make you wait for the next beat. Torres kicked off her career with the release of her self titled album in 2012, touring all over the U.S. and Europe. Her next album, Sprinter, which incorporates elements of electronica and makes her music that much heavier. Her most recent album is Silver Tongue, released this year, featuring an eclectic style and her renowned track Dressing America.
Energetic, yet somber and reflective, the synthpop and distorted vocals of Ariana and the Rose feels like emotions confessed in the night time. Her music covers themes of love and the contrasts between vulnerability and strength. She has a large number of Singles and EPs, as well as collaborations with other artists. Her first EP Head vs Heart was released in 2013 after the release of her single HeartBeat. In 2015 she released the single, Give Up The Ghost, followed by numerous singles in 2016, such as Supercool, and Survival of the Fittest. Her most recent single, True Love came out in 2019 and celebrates the love of couples and is inclusive of LGBT.
Both musicians have an intensity and sense of reflection that compliment each other. Be sure to see them live.
