Album brings thrashing metal
Metal band Testament is back with a new album: Titans of Creation; this record is great because of how the loud and thrashing music shines on each track. The instrument playing is amazing due to the electric energy the band composes and the vocals are raw with a touch of authority. Testament is back and they have done a wonderful job with Titans of Creation.
“WWIII” is a satisfying song due to how the band performs old-school metal. Chuck Billy’s vocals surge on this track with distinctive sounds while singing the lyrics. Also, Billy’s vocals bring back the sound from Testament’s earlier albums. Eric Peterson’s and Alex Skolnick’s guitar playing is righteous because of how each note contributes to the madness in the song. If people want to headbang while listening to the album, “WWIII” can fill their desires to go crazy.
“City of Angels” is a catchy tune and the guitarists play well together on this track. Peterson’s and Skolnick’s guitar playing is well done on this track due to how they manage to perform thundering guitar riffs and solos in a harmonic style. Steve Di Giorgio’s bass playing fills the background with thunderous rumbles which can shake the veins of those listening. Overall, “City of Angles” is a well-done track.
“Curse of Osiris” is a noteworthy song because of how Billy transitions his vocals from high to low. When listening, Billy is capable of shrieking a high note and the sheering noise adds depth on the track. It is noticeably amusing how Billy is able to go back to his dark and authoritative tone after violently shrieking and it is believed Billy is showing people how age has not affected his voice. “Curse of Osiris” is a boastful musical piece.
“Catacombs” is a creative song because not only does it signify the ending of the album, it also shows the instrumental side of Testament. While listening, it is enjoyable to hear the guitars playing deep and raw notes. The bass rumbles with passion in the background and Gene Hoglan’s drum playing is satisfying due to how he creates fast and powerful beats. Also, the keyboard playing contributes to the craziness in the music. “Catacombs” is a brilliantly played track and Testament did a beautiful job displaying their talent.
“Night of the Witch” is the best song on Titans of Creation because of how Peterson and Billy share the vocals on the track. Peterson’s vocals contribute to the wickedness by how he uses his voice to create a powerful high pitched sound. It is nice to hear how Billy’s vocals growl with deep vengeance after Peterson stops singing. Despite not knowing how Billy and Peterson were able to have their vocals clash together, the collaboration is spectacular.
If people want to listen to an album that consists of loud and blasting music, Titans of Creation can fulfill their metal music needs.
