Ted Leo and the Pharmacists payed tribute to The Misfits by covering four of their songs at Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin, Texas last weekend after Misfit’s frontman, Glenn Danzig behaved poorly at the festival on Friday night.
Danzig started complaining when he arrived at the scene of Fun Fun Fun Fest on Friday and didn’t let up until he was unplugged that night. You can read about the details of his performance at Fun Fun Fun Fest here, or watch the final moments of Danzig’s Friday night performance below.
When Ted Leo and the Pharmacists took the stage on Sunday, they provided fans with four covers from The Misfits catalogue that they weren’t able to hear from Danzig’s Friday night performance. Ted Leo and the Pharmacists covered “Skulls”, “Where Eagles Dare,” “Bullet” and “Angelfuck”. Ted Leo mocked Danzig for his behavior at the festival by sporting a wig bearing the resemblance to that of Danzig. Below, you can hear Ted Leo and the Pharmacists’ cover of “Skulls”.
